Noor and Amer’s Wichita Arab wedding reception was like stepping into a fairytale! They created a luxurious and stunning celebration to host their family and friends for an unforgettable evening celebrating their marriage. While the setup was underway, Noor and her family enjoyed a slow morning getting ready together on-site at Botanica before it was time for portraits. We were absolutely stunned by how beautiful her modest Martina Liana gown was! With a beautiful lace bodice and sleeves and a full skirt and train, it was truly fit for a princess!
Her bridal look was completed with a beautiful Essence of Australia veil and a bouquet crafted by Free State Flora. We love the cream-colored blooms with hints of pink and the mix of roses and baby’s breath!
Amer wore a classic black tux, and these two looked like royalty together. His reaction when he saw her for the first time that day was so sweet! Also, we love the movement in Noor’s train in these photos.
Amer’s portraits could have been in GQ! We love the idea of requesting black and white portraits for both the groom and bride to include in your wedding album or to print out for your home.
It’s hard to find a venue in or around Wichita with more beautiful locations for photos than Botanica! With the wide variety of gardens and paths, there are so many places to take your wedding portraits.
Instead of your usual American bridal party, Noor’s sisters and mom stood by her side throughout the day. These ladies loved Noor so well, and they all looked absolutely stunning in their gowns! Even if you won’t have a bridal party at your own wedding, we love the idea of giving your closest friends and family bouquets or boutonnieres as a way to honor them.
While Noor and Amer captured some more photos with each other and their loved ones, we were putting the finishing touches on their reception. Noor put so much time and care into this design, and it was one of our favorite setups to date!
A large greenery chandelier created by Free State Flora and Le Luci hung over the center of the room. Guests were seated at round tables with satin linens, and the family was positioned at rectangular tables by the dance floor.
The centerpieces were a mix of candles and candelabras from Le Luci and bud vases from Free State Flora. Noor found gold table numbers that matched the gold-detailed chairs and rimmed glass chargers, and each seat featured a satin blush napkin, a card showing the order of events, and a note from the bride and groom paired with a sprig of baby’s breath.
The star of the show was Noor and Amer’s seating vignette! Levity Events constructed a modern white stage and a custom monogrammed dance floor, and Le Luci created uplit draping behind the stage and on top of it to frame a gorgeous blush velvet mod sofa.
Free State Flora created arrangements of pampas grass, baby’s breath, and roses attached to two sets of white frames on either side of the sofa. We added a few more candle hurricanes for good measure, and we’re obsessed with the result!
Such a beautiful setup calls for some seated portraits! We’re still not over Noor’s dress.
When it was time to kick off the festivities, the Bedaweya Dabke Crew led Noor and Amer onto the dance floor for their grand entrance to the cheers of all of their friends and family!
This was our second time working with this dabke troupe, and they always bring tons of energy to every celebration.
After everyone enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Bella Luna Cafe, Noor, and Amer shared their first slow dance, and it was incredibly romantic.
Their DJ, DJ Shadi, brought a fog machine to create a cloud-like effect, and we’re so glad they included this detail!
You haven’t seen all the stunning details from this day quite yet! We always love Buckingham Cakes’ work, and she blew this cake out of the water. It was a visual masterpiece standing at 7 tiers tall. Lisa placed each of these blooms by hand to create the perfect cascade of roses and baby’s breath to adorn it.
Some tiers of the cake were created from styrofoam to achieve the design, but this beauty was still incredibly heavy!
One of our favorite Arab wedding traditions is using a sword to cut the cake. And quite honestly, a regular serving knife just wouldn’t do for this one!
After all the main events, Noor and Amer spent the rest of the night celebrating and dancing with their guests, and the dance floor was packed! A traditional Arab wedding does not serve alcohol, but the guests always understand the assignment. Virtually everyone was up on their feet to enjoy the evening together, and the room was electric!
Noor and Amer, thank you so much for allowing us to join you on this day and help you bring it to life. It was such an honor to work with you and your families, and your wedding was insanely beautiful! We know we’re posting this a little after your first anniversary, but we truly wish you all the best in your marriage for the many years ahead of you.
XOXO,
The Radiantly Curated Team
