Emily started the day by getting ready at home with her bridesmaids and family. Her mom and sister helped her get dressed for a first look with her dad!
Emily and her dad have a special relationship, and this shared moment was so sweet! We can’t imagine how it must feel to see your daughter as a bride on her wedding day and remember when she was just a little girl. Cue the tears!
Meanwhile, Patrick and his groomsmen arrived at the church so he could prepare for his first look with Emily. He was clearly excited!
One of our favorite things about Emily and Patrick was how much they make each other laugh. They completely get each other, and when you see them in moments like this you know they were a match made in heaven. Just look at those smiles!
We loved Emily’s gown! The bodice had intricate floral lace and beadwork with a hint of sparkle, and the detailing trailed down the skirt into the train. The tulle was soft and laid perfectly wherever she went!
Brooke Cero gave her a gorgeous bridal makeup look, and Linsey Runyan created a classic but flirty updo for her! We loved Emily’s bouquet too. It featured lush garden roses and bright greenery with a hint of wildflowers that matched the vibe of her dress beautifully.
The limestone wall of the church made a great backdrop for these mid-day portraits.
One of their friends brought their dog to the church so they could grab some photos with their fur baby too! He was thrilled to see his mom and dad, and he looked so handsome in his bow tie.
The Church of the Magdalen is one of our favorite ceremony sites because of the sprawling sanctuary and all the beautiful daylight that streams in!
Emily and Patrick couldn’t stop smiling as they each walked down the aisle. You could feel their excitement to tie the knot!
After they made it official, we gave them some time alone while guests lined up for their exit from the ceremony. Giving your guests bubbles to blow creates a really neat effect for a daytime exit!
After heading back in for some quick family photos, Emily and Patrick boarded the party bus to drive around and celebrate.
Luckily, with the timing of their ceremony and reception, this crew was able to take their time driving around on the bus before they had to worry about photos. We love it when couples get to celebrate without having to stick to a strict timeline!
The bridal party made it to the venue before the cocktail hour to take some photos on the grounds. The venue has so many trees and natural features on the property that make great locations for photos!
We’re obsessed with this shade of pink that the ladies wore and how well it paired with the guys’ blue suits.
Lively Photography nailed the bouquet bridal portrait trend, and Emily looks angelic!
While they finished up the photos, we were putting the final touches on the reception!
This was our first time working at The Atreeum, and we absolutely loved this venue! It’s the perfect location for a Wichita fall wedding since it has an outdoor feel even though it’s completely covered. The temperature was perfect on Emily and Patrick’s wedding day, and even though it was one of the windiest days of the year, it wasn’t anything we couldn’t handle!
The venue provided light-stained farm tables, chiffon table runners, greenery boxes that tied in the plants throughout the space, and floating candle hurricanes that made setup a breeze while looking naturally elegant! Lovely Floral Co brought in bud vases for each table to add a personal touch, and the space looked heavenly.
Some of our favorite details from the reception were their After the Tone phone guestbook, bottles of wine that guests could sign for the couple to open on their anniversaries and their signature cocktail with corresponding custom napkins.
Pro tip: If you’re wanting to reuse bridesmaid bouquets as decor, buy short vases (about 5″ or 6″ tall) for them and have your coordinator or planner deconstruct them to create a more purposeful-looking arrangement like the one above!
Once all the guests found their seats for dinner, the bridal party got the party started and paved the way for Emily and Patrick to make their entrance as husband and wife.
They went straight into their cake-cutting. Their cake was so pretty with a simple texture and minimal florals added in as an accent!
While guests enjoyed a plated dinner served by Corporate Caterers, these two headed outside for some dreamy golden hour portraits.
Lively Photography used the setting so beautifully for these. And we got some more of Emily and Patrick’s silliness that we love so much!
After dinner, they shared their first dance to Little Did I Know by Julia Michaels in the venue’s main room.
When it was time for Patrick to pass Emily off to her dad for their dance together, they met each other on the dance floor by entering to Crazy Train! We truly can’t get enough of this family.
After Patrick’s dance with his mom, all the guests flooded into the Atreeum’s second room to party on the dance floor! iLuminous DJ kept the energy high and kept guests on their feet all night!
They brought in Freddy’s burgers for a late-night snack, and of course, they had to grab a photo op with them!
Emily and Patrick, we can’t express how much we enjoyed working with you and how amazing your wedding was. Your wedding was focused on all the right things while also being incredibly beautiful. It’s going to be one of our favorites forever! We’re wishing you all the happiness in your marriage and can’t wait to see where life takes you.
XOXO,
The Radiantly Curated team
