Ginny and JT tied the knot in Wichita’s iconic Ruffin building and celebrated with a classy reception afterward! Ginny grew up in Wichita and hadn’t lived here for more than 20 years, so this was a big moment for her and JT to bring friends and new family to the city to experience it with them on their wedding weekend. Each detail of their big day was thoughtful and classic, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Before we get started, check out their vendors!
Venue: The Petroleum Club / The Ruffin Building

Dress: XO Bridals
Ginny got ready at The Ambassador with her family and best friends. We loved her classic bridal look with her off-the-shoulder gown and chignon-style updo!
Her friends’ reaction when they saw her in her gown was priceless!
The minutes right after you get dressed are some of the sweetest you’ll get to spend with your family. There are always so many sweet hugs and shared words that happen at each wedding in these moments!
While Ginny was on her way to their first look, Jennie Marie Photo grabbed some portraits of JT!
Their first look was so sweet!
September 17 was one of the windiest days in Wichita we can remember…. but that didn’t stop these two from taking some amazing photos!
We love how their portraits turned out with the Wichita skyline in the background. The strong wind gusts worked perfectly with Ginny’s vail to create some epic shots!
Next up were bridesmaid photos! We loved the green velvet dresses and matching shoes they all sported.
There’s nothing like a large bridal party to bring the energy to your wedding day!
Ginny looked absolutely stunning. Her bold lip made a fantastic statement! We can also say that Ginny is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside.
As for the guys, they looked like they walked right off the poster for a James Bond movie. You simply can’t go wrong with a classic tux!
After taking photos, the wedding party rested while guests arrived for the ceremony. You may recognize the interior of the famous Ruffin building downtown! The atrium is absolutely stunning and a favorite local spot for portraits of all kinds, and it made for a gorgeous ceremony location. One of Ginny’s goals was to find a venue that she didn’t have to decorate, and we’d say she nailed it!
Two ginormous trees served as the backdrop for their ceremony and framed everything perfectly.
Jennie Marie Photo captured JT’s joy here wonderfully. It was finally time for him and Ginny to get married!
How epic are these photos?! There’s so much to be said for letting your venue speak for itself. There aren’t any decorations here that will go out of style in 5 years. Everything is naturally beautiful and nothing feels forced—these photos will remain timeless forever!
After the ceremony, guests headed to the top floor of the Petroleum Club for cocktail hour while Ginny and JT took photos with their families.
If you don’t stop for some elevator photos on your way up to the reception, did you even get married at the Petroleum Club?
But seriously, this photo set is so cute!
One of the biggest perks of having your reception at this venue is that they make decorating and setup incredibly easy. They have an in-house decor closet and help with a lot of the setup. If you live out of town from where you’re hosting your wedding, you may want to look for a venue with similar amenities. It will cut down on your stress a lot!
We always love a Best Fringe Forever backdrop moment paired with a Lamphouse photo booth! The owners, Katherine and Conan, really know how to bring fun to any event.
If you ever have empty space that you think needs to be filled at your venue, we have three words for you: candles and greenery!
When it was time to kick off the reception, the bridal party prepared the room for the newlyweds during their grand entrance.
Ginny and JT came in to “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé & Jay Z, and the reception was officially underway.
While dinner was being served, Ginny and JT ate privately before doing a private cake-cutting with just their families present. In addition to the cake, sopapillas were served to guests for dessert!
After the cake cutting came toasts, then spotlight dances! Ginny and JT kicked off the dance floor with “In My Arms Instead” by Randy Rogers Band.
Ginny’s dad had passed away, so she shared a dance with her mom. It was so special! After that, JT and his mom danced together as well.
They invited their married guests up for an anniversary dance to get them on their feet, and then it was time to open the dance floor. The guests clearly had tons of fun!
Before the night ended, Ginny and JT’s guests lit up the night with sparklers for a photo op! Sparkler photos are always fun, but doing them on Douglas Street in downtown Wichita takes them to a whole other level!
Ginny and JT, thank you so much for asking us to be a part of your day. We will always treasure your kindness and graciousness! Thank you for everything!
XOXO,
The Radiantly Curated Team
